• Para los que buscáis hoteles adaptados en España, en la web www.spain.info ofrecen, entre otras cosas, un buscador de alojamientos muy detallado y completo si se utiliza la opción "ALOJAMIENTOS - BUSQUEDA AVANZADA". Así, por ejemplo, permite filtrar y solicitar busquedas utilizando diversos parámetros como son, entre otros muchos, los siguientes: 
  Adaptado minusválidos -- Admiten perro lazarillo - Asistente para minusválidos - Carta en braille - Parking con plazas para minusválidos - WC Adaptado a minusválidos - Baño de habitaciones adaptado a minusválidos - Ascensor accesible entre plantas - Parking interior hotel con plazas para minusválidos. De todas formas, como ya sabéis, conviene no fiarse de los resultados obtenidos y confirmar las características de cada establecimiento contactando con ellos directamente.

  Works to help disabled people in aspects of ordinary life which present difficulty. Advice is given on visual impairment, incontinence, music, sport, clothing and skin care.
• Greater London Action on Disability (GLAD), www.glad.org.uk.
  GLAD provides advice and information to disabled residents, and helps organisations of disabled Londoners to work more effectively. It campaigns for full civil rights legislation for disabled people and represents the interests of disabled people when decisions are being made.

  Hearing Concern is a leading provider of advice and support for people who are deaf and hard of hearing. Everyone with a degree of hearing loss is at a disadvantage.

  LTB and borough tourist office desks are the main source of tourist information in London. They can tell you whether places will be open and give information about costs and concessions.

  The central coordinating body for all the voluntary groups concerned with disabled people. RADAR provides advice and information on a wide variety of subjects to support independence and equality for disabled people, including access, housing, specialised equipment, benefits available and local authority responsibilities.

  Promotes facilities for the rehabilitation, training and employment of blind people and provides a range of braille publications. It advises on a wide range of problems and needs.
• Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID), www.rnid.org.uk
  The RNID aims to promote and encourage both the alleviation and prevention of deafness. It is mainly a service organisation, and offers information and training. RNID Typetalk is the national telephone relay service which enables deaf and hard of hearing people to communicate.

  A major provider of training in the arts. In addition it runs the Shape Ticket Scheme to enable disabled and elderly people to enjoy a wide range of arts events.

  Provides invaluable services and resources in a number of outer London shopping centres (and in many other parts of the country).
   
• Transport for London, www.transportforlondon.gov.uk
  Only limited parts of the underground are accessible, see the map and description in the Access in London book, or in Access to the Underground published by Transport for London. An increasing number of low floor and wheelchair accessible buses are coming into use in London, and the Access & Mobility Unit will have the latest information.

  Offers a wealth of practical information on travelling both in the UK and abroad. They are experienced and friendly, and are knowledgeable about travel to and within London. Advice is free, and is available during normal working hours.
